International Overdose Awareness Day is August 31st, a day dedicated to raising awareness of the heartache that addiction can have on individuals, families, and entire communities – a day for remembering and reflecting. Whether directly or indirectly, drug poisoning has most likely touched each of us. We all need to learn more about this subject, discuss it, talk openly about it, and remove the stigma that often surrounds it.
International Overdose Awareness Day is also a day we can celebrate hope and embrace organizations and agencies that provide treatment and recovery services that save lives.
