VLFCU Youth Month
April is Credit Union Youth Month, and VacationLand Federal Credit Union is celebrating with contests and saving incentives throughout the month. Now through April 30, 2025, VLFCU members up to the age of 19 are eligible to participate.
According to Heather Gilchrist, AVP of Marketing, “VacationLand Federal Credit Union is committed to helping our young members establish good saving habits and educating students of all ages about creating goals and working toward financial independence. We love celebrating our youngest members during Credit Union Youth Month, but we also provide financial education throughout the year on a variety of topics including credit scores, budgeting, banking basics, and more.”
Parents and grandparents are encouraged to learn more about youth accounts including the Cub Club Savings account, youth share certificates, and the Campus Connection account. Teenagers may also benefit from services such as Shared Branching, online banking, and the VLFCU mobile app.
All of VacationLand’s branches are celebrating and rewarding kids and teens for completing financial activities. Members up to the age of 12 can choose a prize for submitting a Berenstain Bears activity, available at any branch. Members aged 13-19 will receive a gift card for completing a brief online program. Additionally, all new members aged 19 and younger will receive a gift when they open an account. Details are available at all five of our branches located in Sandusky, Huron, Vermilion and Norwalk or by calling 1-800-691-9299.
